3.5 year old terrible at gymnastics

This is the age I teach and I can tell you from a ton of experience that she would likely benefit from an OT eval. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I have learned from occupational therapists working with my students. They can give you really valuable insight into so many things and, while the pediatrician might tell you to go ahead and do that, just as many will say she’s fine. Kids have so many “issues” that an OT can easily help fix. Weird stuff that you would never think of. Major improvement in quality of life both at home and school. Highly recommend Sensational Kids if you are in DC/Bethesda area

Give your child time in the class. It will get better. My son made so much progress with his physical skills after 6 months of gymnastics class. Who knows the other kids may have been in the class longer or be older.

She’s 3.5. Let her be. Try to wait until she’s at least 12 to start making her feel like she’s not enough.
