APS--what is the average time for a bus ride to school?

I got our bus schedule and pick-up is 38 minutes before school starts. School is about a mile away. Seems a bit ridiculous. Because we are so far from the bus stop, he will have to leave an hour before school starts

Our child attends an option elementary school and we don't use the bus because the ride would be 45-50 mins one way due the hub stop model. It is unfortunate, but we accept it as part of being at an option school.

The bus probably drops the kids off at school 10-20 minutes before the start time so it’s not as bad as it sounds. I teach at a school with a lot of buses and 90% of them are there 20 minutes before school starts.
