They offered her the other job.

Who quit that job because they weren’t paid enough?

OP here: yes! she came right around the pandemic

So sad. It makes me so depressed when Ps clearly use jobs as a stepping stone. Sad that FCPS tolerates this so close to a school year. Sad that the principal didn’t even want to stick around for a few years. Sad that great talent heads out to lead some silly admin department because it’s an easier gig than the great work of leading a school.

As a Kilmer parent, I’m just so disappointed

Sad that FCPS allowed this to happen. Shame on them.

In this case it wasn’t that FCPS just allowed it to happen; they actually facilitated it. And the Region 2 superintendent is too dense to know that Kilmer’s long had a shaky reputation and they needed to keep Miller there longer to shore it up.

OP: same here. It's just too soon. KMS is already exploding with new staff, now this.

No dog in this fight, but how is this allowed unless they have a replacement lined up and ready to go? Teachers can't transfer schools this late in the game unless there's a de-staff or something.

It happens all the time and Fabio Zuluaga just pulls someone out of one pyramid to fill a vacancy in another - it’s a shell game.

Who will be the interim?

The e-mail said she is staying on until her replacement is identified.

Headed to Kilmer in fall 23. What do we need to know?

Kilmer has three APs when other middle schools only have two. Why do they need more administrators?

Teachers move positions too. They move up to admin positions and then leave a class mid year.
