MCPS buildings are used by many community groups and so they cannot guarantee that their buildings are nut free. All schools should have an allergy table but you can send nuts in lunches.

With potential cross contamination issues, even being “nut free” wouldn’t completely eliminate risk. Speaking as the spouse of a highly but allergic spouse. We send uncrustables because they are cheap protein and individually wrapped. Also remember the kid in Portamouth? that died at school after eating nuts. Nobody even knew she was allergic. You can become allergic to anything at anytime. I think many people forget this as well as sesame being a major allergen in many products.
