| I wouldn't pick my kid up. I mean as far as you know she doesn't have COVID and she hasn't been exposed indoors either. In our recent experience with COVID it took 4-5 days to go from family member to family member and we were all stuck in the same house together 24/7 with no mask or attempt to quarantine. |

Is this a Camp HM??? They’re having an outbreak right now.
Why not put your daughter on the shuttle (if they have one). |
| I would leave her. A child in my kid's cabin had covid and the camp informed everyone. I told them I don't want her to miss camp unless she's actively sick. It's August, 2022 . . . |
| Jesus go get her. You should have talked to her and brought her home when you brought your son home, everyone masked in the car. |
| I would not bring her home to a known infected sibling. How is that better than letting her stay where so far it’s ok? I echo pp about arranging backup options to pick her up if necessary. Also in my house and others with which I’m familiar, not everyone in the household caught it, so you never know. |
Really? My kids are there now. Havent heard anything. ugh. |
+1 I hope your kid feels better, OP. |
If you mean the one in WVA, then yes. They’re not testing anymore it’s so bad. They’re taking the approach if you don’t test you don’t have an outbreak. My kid was just there and I know a few families whose kids came home last week. It’s a $hit show with the new directors. |
| What? No! Why would you knowingly expose your child to a Covid positive kid in the car when you have ZERO indication that she's been exposed or tested positive so far. You're crazy!!!! |
|
So it's 9 hour round trip, and your decision point is (a) go get her now when you are healthy or (b) risk having to make the trip if you are sick.
Do you have a spouse? I'd keep her there until Saturday and bet that ONE of you won't get sick by then. Does the camp have contingency planning for kids who can't be picked up because parents are isolating? |
Barf. |
Yes. She would probably get it in the car no? |
| I'd let her stay. I know it probably feels like waiting for the other shoe to drop, but there's a decent chance she's okay if she's in a different cabin. And then your other kid will hopefully be over the worst of it/less contagious by the time she comes home. |
| I would not let my littles stay there and get sick. At least at home I could monitor and see what is going on |
