What kind of person drives a higher end Audi sedan?

Better hope there aren't any turns

My question is.. which brand is more reliable than others? I hate when my car breaks down in the middle of the road..

People who seek reliability above all else are not the same people who shop for luxury vehicles. The most reliable is hands down Toyota, maybe Honda comes close. If you are in the market for both reliability and luxury, try Lexus; although luxury car enthusiasts consider Lexus identical to Toyota, not a true luxury vehicle.

x1 million

Incompatible priorities.

I'd say it's for people who want good tech and comfort, but don't want to be to showy.

If you know, you know. I drive an Audi that looks like a regular boring vehicle, but people who know cars well will come up to me and talk about it, as they notice the small styling difference that denote it's a rare model (the RS line).

Agree with this.

Apparently all of them are not you, since you evidently can't afford one. Does being snide about the choices others make make you feel better about yourself? Therapy might help.

Exactly. Try going head-to-head on the track.

I'm guessing that you've never seen an R8. For sleeper models, my father drives debadged mercedes amg wagon that is both fast and as unassuming as you can get.

why would anyone pay all that money for a vw?

This. It’s signaling that you can afford a nice car but don’t want to be lumped in with those guys.

However, I’ve been saying for about a year now, that Audi drivers are the new BMW drivers (e.g aholes) and my DH drives an A6

You can say the same about Porsche

A cheaper one.

I preferred the look of the A7 to anything offered by the other two. Also did extensive research into comparable models and didn’t see much in terms of performance differences to overcome the aesthetics. All good choices, of course, and it some down to subtle personal preferences IMO.

Unfortunately, Audi doesn't offer manual transmission anymore.

Yeah I know. Ours is ten years old. Might have to get the next one in Germany and take delivery.

Can think of the last time (ok, ever) that we had a street race in the Audi. Paying electricity and insurance.

Manual PP here, agree. We had a 335xi before the current S4. Couldn’t get stuck + AWD in the BMW.

My brother does, it's just the car he liked and money wasn't a factor. He is the last person you'd call a flashy or aggressive driver. Pretty sure his car is 10 years old now. Our mother had a used audi when we were growing up and she adored it, so maybe that's where his affinity for them came from, I never asked.
