He’s not and that was a major issue.

He’s lived in Baltimore for the past decade, and has a tremendous amount of support from the big donors in Baltimore.

My understanding about Moore and the controversy over the veracity of his background is that he never explicitly lied, he just never corrected some untruths.

haven't read his book but apparently, he doesn't actually say he grew up in Baltimore but the way it is written it sounds like he said he did. Then, lots of people promoted that fact as well as him being a Gold Star winner (he wasn't), but he never corrected them.

Just make sure everyone you know in MD votes. We can't be complacent. A lot of people voted for Cox. Don't assume its a slam dunk.

I live in Baltimore and am happy about Moore. I think people wanted the prospect of something different. I know people make a big deal about Moore allowing a false narrative of his background to exist, but for me that's just not enough to condemn his character. Baltimore in particular needs Moore in office to make any progress.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Wes Moore doesn't need a base. Plenty of people in MD just vote straight D down the ballot, and even more will do that since Dan Cox got the nomination. Will Wes Moore be a good governor? Don't know, but anyone with a pulse should be better than Dan Cox. At least Glenn Youngkin tried to distance himself from Trump.
