All solid options! My DC went to Elon & is currently in surgery residency, and knows a few others from Elon in surgery & other medical residencies (inc. dental residencies after dental school). The cadaver lab at Elon is incredible; thus the anatomy courses are solid. The chem & bio professors are very dedicated and invested in the students. Elon also has a nursing program, Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Physicians Assistant, and maybe others. |
| Case Western is an excellent option for dental and pre-med. |
This is good advice. Pre-med and pre-health science students should be asking colleges if undergraduates have access to a cadaver lab. |
Maybe JMU? I don't know much about their programs, but when we toured they talked up the cadaver lab and said undergraduates do have access. |
OP here, sorry to be blunt. But I did not ask for your opinion on this. And you do not know my kid. Thanks. Thanks for everyone who answered my question. Some we had already flagged but there are a few I had not. So thanks. |
Not everyone on pre medical/pre dental path ends up in intended profession, some doesn't like those paths, some find other interests and some can't compete. For them college name/quality/experience REALLY matters so keep that in mind when you pick your school. You only experience college once. These four years are formative. |

Gannon University in PA

| Virginia Tech and GMU both gave undergrad pre-dental concentrations |
| Of course a kid should choose UVA over VCU! What? This is a no brainer |
Muhlenberg also has a public health department with a couple of well respected scholars. |

VCU Temple Rutgers University of Nevada, Reno |

VCU has a lot of combined/accelerated programs too
Out of state I would look at USF. Lots of merit and combined/accelerated programs. |
| for medical or dental you want to go where you can get really good grades and save money for the med school. |
