DNC convention location 2024

I think the Ds should return to their blue collar routes with a strong economic agenda, especially if the GOP is going to be in Milwaukee.

Pittsburgh or Columbus have my vote.

I agree with Pittsburgh, but Columbus and specifically Ohio is a lost cause.

Because none of them are in swing states?

Right, that must be the reason.

Makes perfect sense. The Republicans are having their convention in a swing state as well.

Why doesn't the RNC have their convention in WV or OK? Why did RNC choose a blue city like Milwaukee? Aren't there red cities that could host them?

I know there is a lot that happens at the convention aside from what appears on stage for viewers, but. . .

As just a regular voter, I really loved the 2020 virtual convention. I hope they keep aspects of it.

The roll call vote from the states-- all doing their unique state thing-- was fantastic. It was fun and entertaining, but also kind of uplifting. It reminded me of how vast and varied and awesome our country is, but also how we are a common people. Between the isolation of Covid and our current tribalism, it was important to see that.

It’s official.

This is weird since Republicans are constantly accusing everyone in Milwaukee of committing voter fraud.

Nashville, in very much not a swing state, turned them down. 😀

Crickets…

IMO, it makes more sense to do it in the middle of the country so that the flights aren't so long for half the people (assuming half come from east coast).

But, in case you thought it was because SF is so bad no one wants to go there, I just got an email from Salesforce to register for their big shinding in SF. Bono is going to be a guest speaker, along with Matthew McConaughey.

How big is Portland's convention center? I don't ever hear of any big convention going to Portland. I don't think it's big enough.

Also because those aren't swing states

It will be either Atlanta or Houston. They will want to give a lift to either Beto or Warnock/Abrams.
