make it while you can, proof of stake is going to kill miners |
Surprised you aren’t spending more in electricity than you mine with late rig? |

| Are you a single male “disrupter” looking for a way to combine your love of gambling and conspiracy theories? Do you often find yourself telling people how smart you are? Have you ever considered a career in public service and thought hell no, I’d prefer the promise of “financial freedom” for my descendants on Mars that comes with being one of the first adopters of a digital coin that no one else can comprehend and appears to serve no purpose…YET? Do you hate financial stability? If the answer to all of these is yes… |
People who throw around these words usually don't know what they are talking about either...and they aren't making money like they would have you believe. I would nod along politely and walk away. |
| Isn't this post like 5 years late? Most ppl made their millions already and cashed out during this years crash, no? Plus, I thought we hadn't seen bottom yet but I'm not following closely. |
I see you've met my chiropractor. |
Op here - this one is v helpful! |
I currently have three video cards and after electricity costs I can make about $1.75 a day. I don't like to mine in the summer due to the heat created. I could move all the cards into a computer in the garage but it is not worth the hassle to me at the moment. I'll start mining again in late September when temps cool off again. The cards generally raise my average house temp by 10 degrees or so. My wife actually prefers this heat over running the natural gas system in the house. I used to mine in my utility room next to our hybrid water heater. Basically the mining heat would be used to heat the hot water in the house, but it is a bit noisy and my wife works from home now. |
