Mayor Bowser asked if she’s a closeted lesbian

+1. Imagine being rude enough to ask such an irrelevant personal question. If it was a reporter, they should be blackballed.

Agree. Totally crosses the line.

That reporter was trying to make her look and feel bad.

Then the “reporter” is not a reporter.

A reporter didn't ask the question. A LGBTQ activist did:

Ahmar Mustikhan, who describes himself on his Twitter account as the “first openly gay man on earth from Balochistan,” a province in Pakistan that borders Iran and Afghanistan with a pro-independence movement, asked Bowser the question during a ribbon cutting ceremony of the city’s first shelter for homeless LGBTQ adults.

Too bad he didn't learn any manners before moving to America.

There is zero value in this behavior.

Well that was back when people didn’t insist on telling us who they were sleeping with and expecting special treatment based on it.

Who cares?

But the mayor doesn’t do that, and is being criticized for it. Nor does anyone expect “special treatment,” unless you think equal treatment under the law is somehow special, but I digress.

Not trying to date her so I don't care.

So is she or isn't she?

The Mayor handled the situation (during the question and after) amazingly well. I have even more respect for her.

I know it was inappropriate but the video was funny and her response was, too.

Found a good clip summarizing, which includes the question, there is a commercial though.

Activists tend to believe everyone cares...
We just don’t. Please keep your bedroom activities to yourself. And just behave in public.

What a rude question.

Agree.
I’d add that since being the “first openly gay man on earth from Balochistan” suggests that he’s at least somewhat familiar with the potential consequences of being out, it’s awful that he would attempt to publicly do this to someone else — particularly when he likely has little idea of the potential long term consequences for Bowser and her family in his grab for his 10 seconds of relative “ fame”.
