Dorms. I get the sense it makes them more down to earth in general. The opposite would be the mansions of Alabama. |

I know 2 different graduates of Clemson CS program and
both for great jobs afterward. |
| both got * |
basically they live in dorms at clemson vs Georgia where they live off campus in huge mansions. |
Many universities require a standardized test score for most merit awards. Do any of these schools award merit scholarships without submission of the ACT or SAT ? |

College of Charleston has a good Honors College. Clemson University is located near a major lake. Pretty campus, nice college town. Football is King.
I always am amazed at how students seem to have a strong preference for either Auburn (loaded with students from the Atlanta, Georgia area) or the University of Alabama. I like them both. In fact, I like all 4 schools. A student can slide by at C of C and just enjoy life and magnificent Charleston, but the Honors College raises the academic bar in a meaningful way. Charleston, SC is an interesting city. |
DP. I believe you need test scores for merit aid at Alabama and Auburn. Auburn is technically “test optional,” but discourages it & less than 10% of admits were test optional this year, as I recall. |
