The Wintergreen resort area. You don’t need to stay at the resort - lots of airbnbs in the area. Nellysford and nearby towns have lots of kid friendly breweries and cider mills. Lots of hiking trails within 30 mins.

Cape Charles.
Winchester. Dinosaur Land, Skyline Caverns (tho that’s kind of inside) and fruit picking. Make pie together at Air B and B. Go out for ice cream or buy for pie. Eat lunch at Bonnie Blue. Jim Barnett Park |
