| I wear jeans. You never know when you might want to climb a tree, and jeans are best for climbing. |
THIS! I love the way the fabric of wide leg pants swishes around, creating a breeze. I like harem pants https://www.harempants.com/collections/women And pants that overlap, like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075V8HS83/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I’ve found similar pants [probably the same, actually] for sale by vendors at Eastern Market |
The harem pants are certainly something! |
| I actually bought some very thin cotton chinos that are Amazon Basics and they are great for this heat. I roll them. |
Thank you PP for the rec for the Walmart skort. I'm tall and I appreciate that it's longer and a little looser fitting than the Athleta/Lululemon ones. And it has pockets - great find! |

Maybe find some longer bike shorts? For walking, I may vote for the "who cares what your legs look like" side of things. Stop covering them up and wear what's comfortable. You are exercising!
But I have slid more and more into IDGAF territory after passing 40. And surviving the pandemic. |
| Skort in breathing fabric? I have a couple from Title 9 that are cool in summer. On me they're a modest length, but I have short legs for my height so I suppose it would depends on your body type. |
I have never had this thought, and it makes me sad that I haven't. |
| I love my prana hiking pants |

Long lightweight pants. It's what I wear because mosquitoes and bugs love me. I try to find a lightweight knit or cotton.
A few years ago Kohl's had lightweight cotton cargo pants and I bought five of them and wear them to walk or hike in the summer. |
| Lightweight pants in natural fabrics (100 percent linen or cotton or linen-cotton blends). Loose and breathable fabrics mean you can wear pants if ya want. |
| Wide legged pants that are cropped look horrible on everyone. Why is it so hard to find full length pants? I assume manufacturers save money on that little bit of fabric they get to save but cheezus, someone make this trend die! |
| joggers? |
| I have skirts that go below my knees and very lightweight, wide, cotton pants (maybe they're beach pants? But they're not transparent). |
