Our community swim pool has summer swim team but unless kids pass the swim assessment on end of May and an active paid and joined member ($300 if not going to use pool and can’t join, $500 can use the pool and another $170-$180 each kid join summer swim team), then swim practice starts beginning of June afternoon then move to early morning after school end until end of July, parents need to be heavily involved in volunteer and vacations not allowed until end of July. Then there’s winter swim team that do practice at local recenter weekly if joined. We originally planned to join but decided it’s just too much work for us, we just want ours kids to learn to swim but won’t have time for long term swim team, so we just schedule kids to private swim lesson then get recenter membership to swim after summer end and enjoy as leisure fun. But if your kids really into swim team then it’s a great thing to do too.
