Bowser will win a 3rd term in office

We need an independent to run against Bowser in the general.

Because DC voters are seemingly content with her performance.

Oh, the guy unwilling to prosecute violent criminals? Yeah, no.

We have no idea about his willingness, but we know for sure that those crimes -- other than ones committed juveniles -- are under the jurisdiction of the USAO.

So what? I called it in February.

Nothing is guaranteed in life other than death, taxes, and entrenched DC mayoral candidates cruising in the primary because the party rigs the system so that multiple candidates oppose the candidate and thus split the opposition vote.

Calling it rigged isn't fair. If people wanted to credibly challenge her, they would have dropped out and endorsed White (Robert), instead the vote was split between him, Trayon and Butler.

PP...I'm actually now wondering why Trayon White even ran, he had to have known he had absolutely no shot.

The DC Democratic Party certainly benefits from the current FUBAR system. It can't get any of these losers with no chance to drop out and endorse a candidate like Democratic Parties in others states can. This leads to the same old shlt every year: Too many opposing candidates splitting the vote and resulting in limp campaigns.

I wish I could explain this better. It happens in almost every mayoral election. Hell Gray would have won in 2014 if Machen didn't basically force him out of office.

It's like rich Republicans in other states who flush a lot of money down the toilet in races they don't have much chance in. It's a vanity project.

Trayon is much more vile character though. Anti-Semitic with the blood of dead Ward 8 pedestrians on his hands. What a class act.

I voted for Bowser and Mendo. I’m not hungry for change as I think they handled COVID, the Trump inspired street violence, and housing expansion pretty well. They are running a solid fiscal ship.

Further, I don’t think White or Palmer would be the best people to revitalize the central business district. We need to protect the tax base.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we found out Bowser paid him to run.

Incumbent CMs will never adopt a more sensible system like RCV or jungle primaries because they know that it would cost a few of them their office.

Please. No.

Looks like it. Ward 1 and 3 are screwing us.

Agreed. They voted in two progressives to the city council. This doesn't bode well for managing crime or DCPS.

Frumin is an agreeable guy, but doesn’t have a backbone.

An insider said Karl would have ran as independent of Bowser got less than 50% of the votes.
