Legs tiring before cardio goals: will strength training help?

and to answer your initial question strength training will help but it will also depend on what you are doing for cardio. Not all cardio translates. Like a runner may feel more tired biking or swimming. it just takes time for your legs to build up the endurance. Switching between zone 2 and 3 helps.

The majority of your cardio should be in zone 2 that is 60-70% max. Even distance runner do most of their training in this zone because it increased aerobic capacity without being so taxing that you feel exhausted.

Thank you, PP. That is what I'm seeing on my doctor's written orders. It sounds like I need to get clarification from her. This is reassuring to hear re my experience, if not re my doctor's expertise or clarity.
