They are grading based on equity. The minority students can sneak this in to the essay.

We have seen the scoring rubric that suggests essays is more important than GPA. However, the average GPA is 3.95 up significantly. This suggests the essays have a lot of high scores and that B matters.

Or it means that grade inflation is rampant and the majority of above average kids have GPAs close to a 4.0.
