NP. Yeah, very regrettable that Madonna is directing. She does not have a good track record behind a camera. I wonder if Madonna's writing it as well? I"m sure she'll at least oversee it. I feel sure she'll bray that it's an honest, tough, "warts and all" account of her career but I don't believe that for a minute. Julia Garner would do a great job in the role but with Madonna directiing that kills any chance it would be a good movie beyond Garner. |
Go watch A Star is Born and tell me Gaga is nothing but amazing. |
NP. Mediocre to good. Go watch House of Gucci and tell me you can get through the movie without laughing at her acting. |
Gaga is amazing in House of Gucci! |
She was awful in House of Gucci. |
Too old |
| Julia Garner was awful and annoying in Inventing Anna. She is no great prize either! |
Agree, total caricature. |
| Love Julia Garner but really hard to envision her in this role. Florence Pugh seemed a better fit, good look, more tough and gritty like the material girl herself. |
Yes, this movie is focused on her earlier years. |
More tough and gritty? Have you seen Julia in Ozark? haha |
| Madonna acting in or directing a movie again? Lol. Sounds like another disaster. Can she even say a sentence without 20 expletives? |
I’ve seen it and I’m telling you she was very much not amazing. |
I never understand the critical acclaim for this film. Felt like a basic average remake of a remake with a big hype campaign over substance. And I like both Gaga and Bradley Cooper. But I don’t think Gaga is the right person to play Madonna. Also biopics while the subject is still alive is just a vanity project. |
