Anyone Have Any Examples of Going With Your Heart/Gut Over the Money and Have No Regrets?

I can still pay my bills, we just live in a townhouse instead of a SFH and drive 10+ year old cars instead of newer models. No regrets, I love my job. If I were stressed about money though I don’t think I could have done it.

This is one of my dreams. I am about two years away from this goal and finally got wife on board.

I switched jobs within the same general area from one small nonprofit to another.

I had a bigger salary, more flexibility, more money, and a higher level title at the nonprofit I left, but more than worth it, as I was extremely frustrated with the direction of the organization. Much happier at my current place, even though I’m still making about $60k less than I would have at the other place.

I’m thankful my DH was supportive of the change. I am so much happier now, and it’s been 3 years so not like I’m still in the honeymoon phase.
