Also seems kinda hot.

Fine but he's only been a "principal" for 4 months and ATS parents and kids are so well behaved we all tuck in our shirts! We don't need a superman.

LOL like the parent who literally screamed at the school board?

Did an Ats parent do that? I watched a small group of them interact with APS admins during this hiring process and the ppl in the room were unreasonable and rude but it was a really small group and one of them just likes drama. Is moving to private next year, no dog in fight and still being an a$$ during the meeting. embarrassing and doesn't represent the school; thank goodness.

Yes, she did. It’s not the mom you’re referencing though.

Are you calling back to this:

You all are just being unkind. ATS has a wide range of parents, kids and families. Many really good people.

Anyway, looking forward to the new principal. I am sure he will do very well at the school.

It’s not unkind to call out bad behavior

It’s unkind to make generalizations regarding ATS families based on the behavior of one parent.

Were you at the meeting about the principal search? Quite a few rude people there.

DP, no, but “calling out” people anonymously on social media doesn’t make you almighty champion of good manners. It’s just gossiping.

I wasn’t at the principal’s search but I watched it via zoom. Let me ask you this: what is the percentage of ATS parents that attended principal search meeting? I would posit to say that the percentage is in the low single digits. Now out of that small group, how many were rude? Again stop generalizing.

Former ATS parent here (kid is now in hs). Gildea would have been excellent. My daughter had her as a 4th grade teacher and she was amazing. She was the lead 4th grade teacher and really kept things organized. I asked her in October about the end of the year trip, and she was able to tell me that it wouldn't be Jamestown that year (we were going to go there as a family but I didn't want to do it if she was going again the same year.) Fleet got a good one!

Of the ones in the room, half were rude. I watched it on zoom too. You didn't find them rude? I was embarrassed.

Exactly. So half of the small percentage of ATS parents that attended the meeting. Hardly representative.
