New CDC guidance for child care

Our DC child care center follows the DC DOH for close contact quarantining. For 2 year olds and older who can start masks but are NOT vaccinated, they stay home for 5 days from the date of covid positive person's first day of symptoms (or covid test). Then test using antigen test on day 5. Return to care on days 6 thru 10 IF test was negative and cold will wear a mask inside and outside (even if center is mask optional, the close contact child's needs to be IN a mask)

For children less than 2 years of age, they need to stay home for 10 days, no test on day 5 to return on day 6.

PP here. Sorry, I meant to say the count of 5 days starts on the last date of contact from the covid positive person. So if the child lives with a covid positive person the day 1 starts the day after the covid positive person's 5th day after symptoms started (or test if no symptoms).
