I don’t get how they could get gender affirming care in another country if they were there for an extended period of time. How would they get prescriptions filled?

The State Department funds exchange programs for high school students and is always looking for diverse applicants (including trans kids). They partner with reputable organizations and do a good job of ensuring safety and welfare. All programs are fully funded too, but have a competitive application process.

If said child is FULLY and clearly transitioned, yes. No one should even know.

If not, not even there. They'd see him/ her as some American weirdo.


Till the kid has to use a locker room to change.
