OP here. Thank you so much everyone. I really appreciate your advice. I will follow up after I see what kind of inventory is available.

Mine is suffering from a noisy main bearing - Google it. Honda knows the problem but refuse to fix. That plus their ass dragging on implementing a hybrid.

I always tease my friend that the Odyssey is better than a Sienna, but I am likely to sell the Odyssey later this year and wait for a deal on a Sienna. I have been a life long Honda fan. Honda has likely lost me forever.

Shame.

Four minivans over 16 years? A new one every four years?

Just about. We typically sell them after a few years and take the appropriate depreciation. We end up paying about the same in depreciation as a used one but get to enjoy the new part of the van's life.

That is not how it works. You are paying a lot more for changing cars every 4 years than keeping the same one 16 years

DP here. Sometimes that is how it works. I had a 2011 Odyssey that I upgraded into a 2014 Odyssey in a higher trim level. I gave them the 2011 plus $8k. $8k divided by the 42 months I drove the first one equals $192/month. What a deal! Sadly we tried to repeat it and couldn’t. Plus the 2018+ Ody’s have terrible build quality so I still have the 2014 as I can’t decide what I want instead and refuse to pay sticker for anything. So here I am.
