Graduation party figuring out drinks per person?

I would definitely offer sweet/unsweet tea and lemonade as well as a selection of sodas. Maybe several options for water - cucumber, strawberry, etc. But I’m from the Deep South. I would never have a party without Publix Sweet Tea. Also, have coffee available.

The party sounds fun, OP! Anyone who thinks you need to serve alcohol should probably consider attending AA meetings. A graduation party most definitely does not need alcohol.

Just had a grad party. Seltzer, water bottles, and Snapples were all popular. Soda less so. We did not serve alcohol. We had a smaller group. I did not count how much was consumed/person.

Wait no drinks for 30 adults not even beer or wine? Hey I get dressed, write a check go to a party on a summer day and not even a beer or glass of wine?

That’s not normal behavior

Maybe someone in OP's immediate family is an alcoholic?

I serve alcohol at baptisms, communion parties, graduation parties and heck at brunch mimosas.

I am no longer a big drinker. But I am not a cheapskate, in a cult or enforce my kooky values in others. I offer tons and tons non alcoholic drinks and fun drinks.

I have been to maybe 20-30 graduation parties never heard of no drinks. My niece I recall it was like 85 degrees and they ordered food and had s BBQ. Am I supposed to give a 55 year uncle a glass of water or lemonade?

just get plenty and use the rest for the rest of the summer.

it is hard to guess.

we just had a party on sunday and we have drinks for the next month or so leftover. we had beer, truly, water and flavored sparkling water for the pregnant girls.

they do have a guide when you are buying for a wedding. i think it is 2 drinks the first hour and one each hour after that.

If you aren't having beer or wine that's fine but you need iced tea and lemonade.

Then they shouldn’t drink.

Weather is a factor too. Hot and steamy and the drinks go fast.

Funny that people can not grasp that different groups have different versions of normal. Sad to me that you need alcohol. I am there to see friends and celebrate the graduates.

It's a noon-3pm party.

Are you not able to socialize abd celebrate for 3 hrs w/o a glass of wine? Especially in the middle of the day?

Oversight of alcohol at a party with teens is its own task.

What kind of alcoholic drink do you like at noon?
