What am I missing about this Silver Spring house?

It's houses like this...in times like this...for which I grieve over the wasted labor and materials that went into creating an abomination.

It might be more tolerable if you replaced the blue (why god, why?) siding with a tan to match the rest?

why? the "labor" was paid for their skills and service.

Because the supply of labor is finite. And wasted on erecting this monstrosity

Yep - I can’t even get a team to return my calls without a 5 month wait but this monstrosity got priority?

I liked the interior in many pictures... but the exterior is truly horrible. And it looks like it also does not fit in with neighboring homes.

I didn’t realize people in $800k homes are lower middle class.

I know, right?!

Anonymous wrote:People, what’s the deal with this house? My wife and I have been looking in a few places, including DTSS, and saw this house pop up a few weeks ago. It’s way too big for us and the front elevation is not attractive, but there is a lot to like about the interior and the outdoor space. I would be embarrassed to tell people I live in this house but also it’s magnificent. You’re telling me there’s no one who will pay $1.35 million for this thing?

It looks like you buying a house to impress people? Don't buy it.

The house is hideous, but it actually looks way better on the street view. Plus, the house to the right on the street view is also hideous, and you can also see the huge ugly apartment building next door, so this house doesn't look quite as bad with all of these other jarring elements surrounding it.

Guys this is not a McMansion. Someone said “Frankenstein” and that is better.

The only thing to do is burn it to the ground and start again

There's hideous, very hideous, and this house. That's the ugliest exterior I've seen posted in a while. No matter how attractive the interior was, I'd pass immediately.

Have they been trying to sell it since 2016?

I would buy it for the right price. Maybe $1mm.

This exactly.

What's so "LOL" about it? You may not like it, and it's not my taste either, but the house itself is large, and functional with some very nice touches inside. Again I wouldn't buy it, but it's not a "funny" house or a "funny" listing.

It's ugly. The layout is bizarre and certainly not functional. The yard, if you can call it that, is a square of astroturf.
