Nanny is somewhat competitive in terms of my kids.

It is great she loves your kids and think they are awesome. But you’re right to pick up on something off which is the instinct to put down other kids in the process of celebrating your own. I think it’s fine to thank your nanny but also point out that having them be smarter than other kids is not a priority for you.

(And I would be concerned if she was saying something like that in front of the children as it then tells the children that the way to get positive attention is to compete with others and be better. That’s unnecessary pressure.)

Overall though I would not make a huge deal out of it if she’s a good nanny and I’d definitely praise her positive aspects.
