x1000 The deniers are the ones with the problems (mental health problems especially), not OP.

The last thing my family is going to do is have anyone in my familiy tested for COVID.

If you really are that paranoid, I'd recommend never leaving your house again. COVID will be here forever so I really fear for people who are this far gone with the insanity of a lightning strike chance of death.

Please get help for your anxiety, especially if you work in health care.

OP, just for the record, my family and kids have been suffering from "allergies" for about 3 weeks now. Let me assure you that the last thing any of us plan to do is test for covid.

We have "allergies" - that's our story, and we're sticking to it.

Never tested. Don’t plan on starting now

Agree completely. This testing madness has got to stop. Follow the money -

If anyone is super worried about it, they should probably stay out of schools though.

Tell me more about how my kids should just stay out of schools please. You know... with needing an education and mandatory attendance laws and all.

Well no one is testing or staying home with symptoms. You don't need to like it. Its just the reality - everyone who has actually BEEN in a school since Covid is well aware.

We’re not testing because what we are experiencing is…wait for it…allergies.

I'm not going to test my family and disrupt our lives when nothing comes of testing. There never was any contact tracing in this county and there still isn't.

The majority of society is moving on. 75% of kids have already had Covid. And they will likely catch it again next fall/winter. It is a coronavirus, and it is here to stay.

Oh man, what a hardship for you to take 30 second out of your life to use a "free test" to make sure you're not spreading covid. You can find free be tests at your school, at the drug store and at many Kiosks. The poster said to test only for "new symptoms".

Maybe you don't know this, but kids under 5 still don't have a vaccine to take. Please be considerate of others in this mask free world you share with others. Especially if you work in a school and are around hundreds of people everyday!

If your child is having new allergy symptoms, please test for COVID before sending him/her out in the community, especially without a mask on. (Best time to test is about 12+ hours after symptoms begin.)

Also, remember that you can get COVID through your eyes. If your child is well masked but other unmasked kids are spewing viral particles, your kid can get it through their eyes.

Seeing how many are out and about without masks, it seems that people feel COVID is just a cold and are comfortable getting it and spreading it. However, please remember that we are still learning about COVID long-haul symptoms. Always better to vaccinate fully and avoid the virus.

But we know all the long term side effects of the vaccine, right?

Because no test is free and the companies making these stupid tests are just racking money riding the Covid anxiety wave. The tests come out false negative on many many occasions. It’s a royal screw up, do not even waste your time. If you think you are sick, and I mean really sick, not a sniffle, go do a PCR.

No, the tests are literally free. 8 free rapid tests a month per person at the drug store. Thanks Biden! Free PCR tests at curative kiosks.

What is covid at this point? No one really cares anymore.

The million people who have died of COVID and the 9 million family members left behind are ten million more powerful reasons why the reminder that the OP gave should be appreciated and heeded rather than scoffed at and belittled. The tests are free, it takes 30 seconds, be a good neighbor and test if your kids or you have symptoms, and if you do have Covid isolate for 5 days and stop the spread.

My DD has allergies (as in, she sees an allergist, has gotten the battery of tests) and if she forgets her meds for a day can wake up stuffy and sniffling. But we test her every time before sending her to school. The tests are free. I don't worry about her getting covid. I worry about sending her to school and infecting a classmate who lives with an elderly relative. It's easy to test.
