Will you mask at your child's graduation?

I always do when running errands -- grocery shopping, etc. More and more I'm seeing that I'm in the minority, but guess what? I don't care.

It's amazing that anti-maskers claim to be all about "personal freedom" yet they jump all over those who choose to wear masks even when it's voluntary. Such hypocrites.

What are you talking about? No one is "jumping all over those who choose to wear masks." Several posts above yours even specifically state "No. But if you want to, go ahead." and "I won’t. But I don’t care if you do. You do you"

Stop lying.

LOL ok. That's why there are posts in this thread saying that "NO!" and calling people who wear masks "paranoid."

Wearing masks without a scientific reason is evidence of paranoia. A healthy immune system needs to be exposed to a variety of viruses, the common cold, etc. To be masked is entirely appropriate when there is a pandemic and no vaccine available. We're past that stage and into a stage where vaccination is the solution. Masks are theater at this point. If you didn't wear a mask when your toddler's class had an outbreak of the common cold a couple of years ago, there's no rational reason you'd need to mask up against the current covid variants in circulation now.

Untrue.

I had a woman yell across the street at me, that it was unnecessary to wear masks outdoors (this was more than a year ago).

I let her know that I had a PhD in Public Health, so did not need her advice.

Same for me. No mask for us, but I do mr care what other people do. Everyone’s situation is different.

Not that pp, but yes, we do.

At an event where 1000s of people are coming from all over and vaccination status is unknown? Absolutely will be wearing a mask. Statistically speaking, there will be people who are Covid positive there, and I see no reason to risk being unlucky enough to sit next to one. Yes I’m vaccinated/boosted and yes it’s unlikely that I’d be really sick if I catch Covid, but why take the risk? N95 masks don’t bother me.

If we were talking about high school graduation outdoors in MoCo, the most highly vaccinated large county, I wouldn’t mask and just not sit close to anyone.

Yes. But because I know others won’t, the grandparents will have to watch from home.

Mask wearing in a large crowd three days before you leave for overseas travel, when you will need to PCR test at least twice under current guidelines is paranoid? Well, I’d rather been the paranoid person you judge than spend 10 days confined to my hotel room because someone in the parent or student seating was sick and unmasked. Do I think we’d get that sick! No, I don’t. Do I think the country we are visiting cares if we are PCS+ and asymptomatic? Again, no.
