| Paywall so I can’t read it, but I don’t believe there are no differences in breeds. Otherwise, why not have chihuahuas or golden retrievers as military dogs? Or, why not have a mastiff or Dalmatian to herd sheep? Because the dogs were bred to be genetically different behaviorally. |

Why, because it’s self-report? Lots of studies use self-report. The peer reviewers at Science certainly didn’t think it was awful or they wouldn’t have published it. |
