In a former home we had our gas range on the island, so we had a downdraft - which they could have as well.

Those don't work all that well in reality.

I loved this house but did not get it. Pending yesterday.

I agree. I love the balcony they added too. Almost perfect home.

I was wondering why no one showed up at the open house yesterday afternoon.

Based on some comments on this board, this house is hard to sell at the asking price. Hiwever, I predict this house wil close above 1.7. Let’s wait and see.

There was a post about another house on this street a couple of months ago. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1043864.page

The house is in a historical designated area and is limited in how it can make updates but the houses still usually sell for a good price. Given the comps on the other house selling for $2.4 I think this house will get at least $2.4.

Funny, they've worked just fine in my experience.

Great house OP, always refreshing to see a Colonial that's at least more interesting than the usual cookie cutter model.

So pretty and tasteful! And such a great location.

I especially like that detached garage with the bedroom above it. We tried to do something like that, but ended up only having the budget for the detached garage.
