Celebrity offspring that have become/became more famous than their parents?

Hmmm. I’d say no to this. Donald Sutherland is a legend whose presence in significant films has spanned decades. He is a legend. This isn’t a knock on Kiefer. He just hasn’t achieved the stature in film that his father has.

I think some posters are just naming the offspring of famous actors, and because they are closer in age to the offspring, they think that person is more famous than their parent. Donald & Kiefer Sutherland is the perfect example. If you compare each body of work at next to one another at the offspring’s current age, you’d see the parent was much more prolific and well-known. Same with Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson.
