I make a jug of lemon juice, water, cayenne pepper and agave nectar every Sunday evening and drink throughout the week

Easy lemon cake used 3 of them. So delish.

Early in the pandemic I was for some reason afraid pickers would all get sick and it would be hard to get any fruit. So I juiced a bunch of lemons and froze the juice in ice cube trays. I then froze the peels also to have the zest. It turns out, I thought the frozen peels were quite easy to zest.

"I don't like wasting money or food, so how can I spend $20 on extra ingredients, some of which I won't use all of and will have to waste, instead of just throwing away this $3 bag of lemons?"

OP here - I keep a fully stocked pantry with spices and condiments from a variety of cultures + already had fresh veggies and several frozen types of meat + fish. Wasn't planning on buying anything.

Lemons in the fridge last a LONG time. You can squeeze a lemon on almost every food/drink and improve it.

They do. I find limes go bad pretty quickly though.

You can store them in water to last longer. I love a lemon cream pie with the juice and zest. Then would use the rest for cleaning or to make a stovetop air freshener

This only uses the peels, not the fruit.

I use so much lemon- on salads, bean or quinoa salads, in soups, on potatoes, so many ways to use lemons.
