+1 I never carry my bank card. Wallet just has insurance card, license abs one credit card. I rarely have cash. I pay for 95% of things with my phone. I do have cash stashed in glove compartment for emergencies. This is why I seriously can’t give a beggar $. I have no cash on me. I’m annoyed at people that with cash and hold the line up. The bakery and several stores near me don’t accept cash anymore. |
| I usually only carry my license and a credit card (which conveniently doubles as my Costco ID. I don't need anything else for 99% of the time. |

I don't use my phone to pay for anything and still fit everything I need in a cardholder. Mine has a tiny zippered pocket (enough to hold coins or a couple of folded-up bills) but I don't ever carry cash so I don't use it.
I use the card slots for my license, insurance card (stashed behind the license because it's thin) and two credit cards. I could just carry one, but I use a dining rewards card with better cash back for grocery/restaurant purchases, and another for everything else. I only use my debit card for the ATM or if I need cash back, and I plan ahead for those occasions. Try it, OP! It's so freeing. |
I do this too. |
| So recommend your small wallet please! I'm still lugging around the big one and realizing I don't need it. |
| I have two credit cards, one ATM card, a driver's license, two insurance cards (dental and health), and a metro card. So, only a little less than you, though I also don't carry cash. I just use a tiny purse and put the cards in the little side pocket. |
OP I cannot understand for the life of me why you would carry around all that unnecessary crap. I literally never carry a purse. Phone with drivers license and credit card. That’s it. |
This is what I do as well, never use cash and don’t carry a debit card. I haven’t used a purse in over 3 years |

Like a lot of people, I have a small cardholder on the back of my phone.
This is GREAT for me, with my ADHD. Never "forget my wallet" and don't carry an overstuffed one (ADHD = bad at prioritizing, so leaves things out or brings EVERYTHING). From ~2014-2022, I kept: -2 credit cards. I use them for different purposes, but it's always good to have a backup. If I used only one, I'd also bring my bank card, which is a Visa debit or w/e. -Driver's License -Health Insurance Card -Metro card (when I used to ride, pre-COVID) -MAYBE: a $10 bill and/or bank card and/or HSA debit card I think that's it. I just got a new phone and a new kind of holder and it won't really keep more than 3, MAYBE 4 things, so I'm down to basically the 2 CCs and my license. I do have to remember to grab my insurance card/HSA card for the pharmacy or doctor, but in a more urgent case, I think I could get by with just the number/a photo, which I keep on my phone (OP, do this for the AAA information!) I do have to grab cash for rare occasions, but I really don't need it on me a lot. Etc. It's actually totally fine. Of course, I don't have a corporate card, or anything like that. My wallet used to be like George Costanza's, but nowadays you can keep so much info on your phone. And I don't even mean ApplePay, which I should totally use and never do. I mean I rarely need: -Loyalty cards, because it's almost all phone number lookup, saved to an app, or you can keep the number in your notes app/etc. -Cash or even my bank card, though the bank card would be good to have for an emergency, especially if I had only one CC. I rarely need to get cash out and I mobile deposit all my checks. -Pictures of my kid. It's all on my phone. -Geez, what else did I used to keep in there?? Receipts? Punchcards? Every single credit card I had any access to? Business cards??!?!!? HANDWRITTEN PHONE NUMBERS?!!!!???!! (Imagine!) You just don't need that much anymore, thanks largely to smartphones. It's not even just loyalty numbers/apps, it's a photo of or note about almost anything you want, and as a PP said, you can also use phones to preorder things and so on. I literally keep a wallet of "all the rest" in my nightstand. I only VERY occasionally grab something from it-- mostly my HSA card, bank or Metro card. |
| I only carry my driver's license and a single credit card that fits into a slide compartment on my phone case. Other cards (including insurance, AAA and vax record), I just take a picture. My phone case is large enough that I can slip a gift card in it if I'm using it. I don't miss carrying any of them although I do sometimes regret not carrying chapstick with me. |
OP here - yes, please, I would love recommendations!!! |

I have this one, which holds my drivers license and two cards. It has a pop socket on it to prop it up, which is also good to help my butterfingers children hold onto the phone while taking a picture or playing Pokémon Go.

| How big do you need... I have two credit cards, a debit card, two ids, costco card and maybe something else and maybe cash if my husband gives me some. I don't have insurance cards or AAA. |
