I have been following college lacrosse for 40 years and have rarely seen such a dominant team in all aspects of the game.

If you have been following lacrosse that long, then surely you remember the dominant and "unbeatable" 1987 Maryland team, that was upset in its semifinal playoff game by a supposedly rebuilding Johns Hopkins team, led a skinny sophomore LSM named Dave Pietramala and a tiny little freshman goalie named Quint Kessenich. Maryland should not count their chickens just yet.

W lax is on many networks, more than mens actually.

Actually softball gets way more play than MLAX.

More people attended W bC vs NC than mens MD Vs UVA.

One can respect the tremendous skills and athleticism of the competitors while also realizing it is a very different viewing experience because of the rule variations.

The state of Maryland is truly the center of the lacrosse universe.

There could be a fantastic league just from here.

UMD, Hopkins, Navy, Loyola, Georgetown, Mount St. Mary’s, UMBC, Towson.

73 or so historic national championships between all of them.

The center point between those schools is Glenwood in Howard County. It should dub itself as the center of the lacrosse universe.

Woman’s side. 15 UMD championships and the Royalty of Woman’s lacrosse. It would take at least 75 years or so for anybody to catch them.

The cathedral of Lacrosse is Homewood Field
Lacrosse is the Md state sport
The Lacrosse Hall of fame is in Sparks Md.

Awesome legacy. Lacrosse, Old Bay and Maryland .. like the red white and blue.
