Yes, I believe they were "unschooled". Not in the home school travel around the country type of way. There parents did a weird interview a long time ago about how their kids didn't need formal education, and they could teach them what they needed to know, because they don't live average lives. Or something like that. That's my recollection.

Yes, she is truly talented and they did a good job together. The mom is a tad smug and mean girlish. The grandma is way too smug and judgmental.
