NP. That's it's disgusting? Interbreeding is a very frowned upon concept for a reason. It's obvious by your "question" and statement that you're trying to normalize this in some way and act like OP is being racist or culturally insensitive.

NP. Disgusting is subjective and only your opinion. Presumably the people getting married are adults making their own choices (and at least one of them is presumably culturally conditioned against this type of marriage). Sure I wouldn’t want to marry my cousins and would find it squicky but it’s really not my business what other consenting adults get up to.

First cousin marriage is illegal in Mississippi. It's perfectly legal in such places as New York, New Jersey, Maryland and DC, however.

I was married to a widow, who was pretty as can be
This widow had a grown-up daughter
Who had hair of red
My father fell in love with her, and soon they too were wed
This made my dad my son-in-law
And really changed my life
Now my daughter was my mother
Cause she was my father's wife
And to complicate the matter
Even though it brought me joy
I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy
My little baby then became a brother-in-law to dad
And so became my uncle, though it made me very sad
For if, if he were my uncle, then that also made him brother
Of the widow's grown up daughter, who was of course, my stepmother
Uh huh
Father's wife then had a son who kept them on the run
And he became my grandchild, for he was my daughter's son
My wife is now my mother's mother, and it makes me blue
Because although she is my wife, she's my grandmother too
Now, if my wife is my grandmother, I am her grandchild, yeah
And every time I think of it, heh! Nearly drives me wild
'Cause now I have become the strangest case you ever saw
As husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpaw
Oh, I'm my own grandpaw
I'm my own grandpaw
It sounds funny, I know, but it really is so
Oh, I'm my own grandpaw
I'm my own grandpaw
I'm my own grandpaw
Talk about incest!
It sounds funny, I know, but it really is so
I'm my own grandpaw

None. I’m surprised why would one take risk of genetic problems, legality and pressurizing their child when there are probably millions of matches out there. I guess a close knit family trying to stay close.

Besides it being quite common, it allows for more family to migrate to the US if they wanted, keeping money in the family, and adding to the last two stated raises the families earning potential.

We rarely see her now and only in public places with many witnesses. She occasionally joked about how fun it would be if they one day married. I don't care if the girl is adopted and there would not be medical concerns. I find it creepy and disturbing.

That’s just creepy.

I'd bet the niece is of a differing background than the adoptive parents/family.

I have problem with any two, consenting adults getting married. Marriage is about government benefits, not kids.

What’s “disgusting” to you is a way of life in many places. Who are you to judge how others live?

But what does marriage have to do with having kids? That's such an outdated concept.

Einstein married his cousin at 40 but didn’t have any children with her. Darwin did have 10 children with his cou son wife.

Yep. Let's have no standards anymore. Next thing you know people will be justifying inappropriate acts with animals, because, you know...to each their own. Lol. You do you, PPs. Raise your kids to know it's okay to marry their first cousins. Hope that works out well for you.
