Yes. It’s the reason why I stayed away from the brand. Got the GLS instead. The xc90, while a nice car, is pretty small. I’m surprised no one has mentioned this with op having three kids. Isn’t the obvious choice a mini van? |

We looked at the GLS, but the lack of a hybrid option was a deal breaker for one of us. The XC-90 isn't perfect--agreed--which is why I posted here to see if I am missing something. It seems the closest of what is presently on the market.
Re a minivan, we looked at some and tried to keep an open mind. Neither of us liked them and it was a pretty immediate no. I appreciate entirely why some may prefer them, but not right fit for us. |
The XC90 OP and I are waiting for is being made in the Volvo factory in Torslanda, Sweden. Chinese investment and money are everywhere in car production. Mercdes Benz also has a Chinese partner. Don't understand why saying Chinese-owned is supposed to be a put-down when the company has kept its company integrity, Swedish culture, and aesthetic. |
Because it might be hard to get parts in the future when you need them? |
It's Sweden with Chinese investor moron, Volvo has been around for 100 years |
I really want to understand, but can't follow what you are saying, why would it be hard for Volvo to get parts compared to any other brand? first time I am hearing this. Sorry, but it seems like you are still trying to put down Volvo for having Chinese investment and making up reasons at this point, |
| What sold me on the xc90 was the Chinese restaurant credit from the dealership. |
