how about toys? sure, you have a small place, but your child will eventually need things to play with, right? You could register for toys appropriate at various ages, plus books and/or DVR's and/or stuffed animals. And toys are fun for people to buy. |
Choose a place that has a very good return policy. Great Beginnings has a good selection but a strict 30 or 90 day return. The last thing you want to do is have to run out in the first few weeks to return items that you find out you don't need. Keep in mind the clock also starts on when the purchasur buys the item not when you receive it. My mother bought a bunch gender specific stuff assuming we could just exchange if we had the other gender. DS wore alot of pink thanks to GB.
Buy Buy Baby is pricier than BabiesRUs but has a good return policy, not sure about BabiesRUs. You could choose some items that you'll need further down the road such as a high chair or booster seat. Toys in the 6-36 month range are great as you'll get more mileage. >baby monitor >bath tub if you don't want to use the sink >basic clothes ie onesies in larger sizes (6-12 rather than 0-3 or even 3-6) >if you like these types things...kits that let you do a footprint, frames etc, keychain with locket for their pictures..big hit with grandparents who buy one for you and one for them >saftey items..outlet covers, door knob handles, gates >books |
Ummm...folks, this thread is from March of '08...it just got restarted again by one snarky post...I don't think the OP likely needs our advice anymore ![]() |
ha ha ha ha ha! You're right. Do you think someone actually searched the threads for something to get snippy over? |
Ha! I wouldn't put it past some of the folks on this board...funny how you can totally get things going for NO REASON! |
