Dentist Recommendation

A second vote for Dr. Niloo in Oakton. She's amazing. We also had a positive experience with Dr. Mohammadi in McLean and while we love Dr. Greenwald (our other child goes there) - she was very gunshy about treating my SN child who needed a cavity filled and wouldn't treat b/c of DC's oral sensitivities. We've been with Dr. Niloo now for about 18 months. Consider starting there if you think there might be a need for anything other than a regular checkup. Mohammadi recommended Niloo to us, BTW. Good luck!
ps - All dentists we've ever been to have allowed us to go back with the kids.

My friend went to Dr. Niloo and had a child with sensory issues. Because she required extra consoling she charged her extra.

Hi - just to be clear (b/c I am also looking for a dentist for my special needs child), are dentists charging an extra fee just for "consoling", or are they charging an extra fee for using medication to sedate? I'm trying to level my expectations for our first dentist visit. Thanks!

I don't know about other dentists, but my friend said Dr. Niloo charged her because her child required extra comforting. No sedation was done on her child.

I second Sarah Ganjavi in Vienna, she is excellent, her office is very friendly to special needs
