I wish I was making it up. I’m rubbing her raw trying to remove all the hairs. It’s not working.

Like I said, I don’t really believe you. I have PCOS and immense amounts of coarse long leg hair. It took some time to shave all my fully grown out leg hair but it’s pretty straightforward. I’m not sure what you’re doing wrong.

She’s turning raw from the razor. You don’t have to believe me or even comment. Why would I lie about this? Do you know the remover that has been suggested here before by chance?

It just makes no sense. The point is this is user error but I can’t imagine what you’re doing wrong. You’re shaving when the hair is wet, right? After it’s softened in the shower/bath?

Take her to a salon and get her leg hair waxed.

Do you shave your own legs? It sounds as though you are not very familiar with the process.

Also, why are you even shaving your daughter’s legs for her? If she’s old enough to want to shave her legs, she’s old enough to do it herself.

NP. But also having a really hard time understanding why shaving can’t work.

There’s always waxing. Nair won’t work if she is this hairy. Plus it is messy and burns and will
Leave her patchy. I would would take her to a good salon and get an initial thorough leg wax. Then shaving as it grows back in should be easier to maintain

Is the razor going against the grain properly or are you shaving backwards? No clue why it would not work. Signed - an extremely hairy person

Just give your daughter a pack of new razors and let her do it. You sound inept.

OP, I have leg hair like a guy. If your ds really has this type of hair, no chemical remover will touch it. I've tried them all.

Use a mach 3 or Mach 4 men's razor, brand new, with gobs of moisturizer all over the legs to act as shaving cream , preferably after a long shower or bath. You can't shavethis type of hair with"women's" razors and water.

Oh, and I shave both with the grain of the hair and then against the grain of the hair. The wet legs combined with lots of lots of moisturizer keep away the razor burn.

DD desperately wants to shave her legs, but the initial removal is proving to be difficult—she’s pretty hairy! No matter what I try—razors and thick cream, razors and thin cream, her dads hair clippers, even—nothing is removing the hair! It’s the most insane thing I’ve ever seen!
Has she looked on ebay/poshmark/etc for those discontinued shave minimizing gels? Does she let the Nair sit, then take a brand new (still sharp) Quattro (4 blade) blade to it? Try the tough beard kind.

We are attempting to shave for the first time. I’ve see a particular chemical remover recommended before but I can’t find it here now.

You may want to try waxing. Hair on my legs was so thick that even after shaving I had a five o'clock shadow on my legs. Wax first then see what happens.

We’ve been using the good Venus razors but she’s getting raw. There are still long hairs. And it’s like they are too flat for her dads electric clippers to remove, if that makes sense.
If the hair was really as thick as you’re claiming, you’re going to need to change blades a few times while shaving. After every pass, rinse the razor fully to make sure you’ve removed the shave cream/hair. I would also use a shave oil to soften the hair.

Given that you’re saying you’re rubbing her legs raw, you need to take a break and let her legs heal a day or two. Do not put a chemical on raw skin.

Yeah, seems weird you are trying to shave her. That is probably the problem.

This is so weird. Women shave their pubs which is very thick, corse and long. I have no clue why she and you can not shave her legs.
