I don’t usually chime in when there is a consensus, but I had a terrible experience where my husband got half cheese, half pepperoni for DD’s party, and several kids left in tears (trying not to be sad though) because they didn’t get to the cheese pizza in time and were hungry.
Please get enough cheese for everybody. Then add in some pepperoni In case there are any adventurous palates. |
Yes! My vegetarian daughter has missed out on pizza because she was too slow. Everyone that eats pepperoni also eats cheese. Keep it easy and get cheese. |
| My kids love Ledo's. The sauce is sweet, it's cut in small squares, and the crust is buttery, thin, and crisp. Perfect pizza for kids. |
| Ledo slices are small and square and really good sized for kids. You can also ask the big chains (Dominos, Papa Johns) to do thin slices for kids. |
| My kids were fine with thin crust Dominos. Cheese is the most popular. We also ended up eating a lot of Potomac Pizza but that’s pretty heavy. |
| Domino’s has good deals on 5+ pizzas. For a kid party, I get 3-4 pepperoni, 3-4 cheese, and a couple thin crusts with mushrooms & spinach or pineapples & peppers (vegan). |

We had a playground party last year and ordered from Papa Johns (the Original crust, not thin crust). I also ordered 10 pizzas so I did 5 veggie 2 toppings and 5 meat 2 toppings. Most kids picked out the toppings. If you have adults staying, may be wise to have 1 meat toppings and 1 veggie toppings and do cheese for the rest. It is cheaper and the preferred kind for kids. Order online with a scheduled time. Online prices are always cheaper than in store. They have online only deals. For the kids pizzas, ask them to cut it in 8 slices or squares.
A few years ago, we ordered from Pizza hut and those were also good. Cheese, pan crust, well done, extra sauce. |
| Agree with previous posters. Dominos pizzas are horrible. You would be better off with frozen pizzas instead of those. |
| To add, 10 pizzas was way too much for 20 kids and a few adults. We would have been good with just 6 pizzas. |
NP. I think it depends on the age of elementary. 5th grade vs. 1st is a big difference in appetite. |
| This is easy. Dominos cheese pizza. |
| I think some of you maybe haven’t had Domino’s in a long time. Like it used to be awful back in the day, then they improved it and basically went on a pizza apology tour trying to get people to try it again. Plus it’s still one of the best values for what you get! |

I’m the Domino’s-defending PP
If you still don’t want to get Domino’s, what about Costco? Their food court cheese pizza is a guilty pleasure of mine. Soooo much gooey cheese…*drool* |
+1 And even if you don't like the new version, I've never been to a kids' birthday party where a kid didn't eat Domino's cheese pizza. Only a really picky kid would mind, and I think that if somebody has a kid that picky they would think to feed him something else beforehand. |
A kid would even eat Little Caesar's pizza (they were worse than Dominos). My point being a kid would eat ANY cheese pizza, including frozen. We went to a party at a house when my kid was 5 and we had to stay around. The host served Costco frozen pizza that was baked earlier and reheated when it was time to eat. Way to cheap out on a birthday party. The kids still ate it though. They offered to the adults too and the pizza was not nice at all. |
