Getting from MCO to Disney resorts

Also, you’ll hVe to Uber in xL only on your trip because Uber x only allows 3 passengers right now and they are strict about in Florida that you can’t ride up with driver.

Uber, we take Uber everywhere in Orlando.

I guss it's still cheaper than renting a car since the Disney resort charges per day for parking though.

An Uber XL will be $80 max.

I’m looking at limos right now, and it’s looking to be about $100 each way. Might as well spring for it and avoid waiting for your ride to arrive.

Ride but an Uber is only $40 unless it’s crazy peak. But if you want the limo, go for it.

We are doing car service to and from because our departure leaving Disney is 7am and I don’t want to chance getting an Uber at 5am/rather have a professional care ready to go in morning. Also, it’s nice to have the brief grocery atop to pick up water, snacks and wine

You will not have an issue with an Uber at 5 am in Orlando, and you can prebook.

Really? That’s good to know! I am in fort hunt area if alexandria and always!! Have issues when I have an early morning flight out of DCA. Pre ordered cabs have burned me too and I have anxiety now about making 6:30 or 7 am flights. Good to know Orlando seems better equipped!

You can pre book Uber that was my point. And the demand for Uber airport runs is significantly larger for in Orlando than DCA as the airport is significantly larger.

We just got back and used Uber. It worked well and was very reasonable.

We went last month and used Mears. Pick up is in the same area as magic express used to be, and they give you a gift (we all got sunglasses). Our drivers were animated and wonderful. We tipped them well. Enjoy!

Just got back from Disney Sunday. We had 5 and used Uber XL, 60 bucks from MCO to resort, 35 resort to MCO, varying times. I'd rec this option, have a blast!

OP here. Just wanted to thank everyone for their advice. We’ll take our chances with Uber.

I’m sure I’ll be back with more questions…still debating whether to leave for midday naps or try and stick it out…

You often had to wait for 45 minutes or so while they collected enough travelers and loaded everyone's luggage, then they stop at a bunch of different resorts. People acted like it was a special treat only for resort guests but we tried it once and Ubered ever after

We used it 3 times and found it to be efficient and excellent service, and it's definitely shame that they got rid of such a nice perk that made it feel like vacation started at the airport!

Did you use it post-pandemic though, when they stopped gathering and checking luggage for you? In its last year, you had to pick your bags up at baggage claim before going to the shuttle, and then when you were leaving, you could no longer pre-check your bags at the resort. Once those perks were gone, Uber became a much better option.

OP, in your case, I'd just Uber, since you'll have your own booster seats. Sunshine Flyer has seatbelts for your boosters, while I don't think that's guaranteed with Mears.

We used it this past October, right before they ended it. I found it as seamless as usual, but we pack light. Either way, it’s gone now. If we go again (kids are aging out) we’ll just Uber.

In my experience, Uber MCO to Disney or return is no less than about $60 each way. I haven’t been since pre-pandemic but Tiffany Towncar used to be about $120 round trip, incl boosters and a stop at the grocery store to pick up waters, if you like.
