If they are limiting because of covid, that is ridiculous.
If they are limiting because there aren’t enough seats, sell tickets. Either way the organizers are full of it. |
| I can't believe any family would send more than one adult to a swim meet. those meets are the worst. It;s like they always say "if you have one day left to live, spend it at a swim meet because it will feel like forever" |
| Just follow the rules. It's not that hard. |
I’m going to hazard a guess the meet at issue was the junior/senior champs at UMD, and since it’s a high level meet and spectators haven’t been allowed in for 2 years, I can see why multiple family members wanted to be there. If your kid qualified they are a serious swimmer and it’s a big deal, it’s not like some God awful 4 hour summer swim B meet. |
| Spectators will be allowed at JOs this weekend. No restrictions that I’m aware of. |
No limits and plenty of space at jr/sr champs. Lots of kids drove themselves. |
Cant be any bigger than the hockey tournaments my kids have been participating in for the last two years with no problems. People slapped a mask on and continued living their life. So many is this area are neurotic. And i fully support vaccines and masks when necessary . |
Your hockey tournaments had hundreds of unmasked kids in each event for 8 straight hours? I kind of doubt that. |
This is OP, and you are incorrect. |
Exactly. My kid has a swim meet coming up with over 500 unique kids per session, on the pool deck, at the same time. Plus officials and coaches. Now add on the potential for spectators for each kid. I don’t believe that’s what a hockey facility looks like, even with multiple sheets of ice. |
At UofMD today, nobody is checking. Anybody can attend. |
Yes. Why would you doubt that? You obviously know nothing about hockey tournaments. |
