No problem, go pick them up and take them to your home.

Yeah I don’t but obviously other people do or they wouldn’t be out there.

I think this is abusive parenting.

I once called the police to check in a baby who was out in this circumstance. It would be far more damaging (psychologically) for an older child.

This is never the best option, for parents who are not drug addicted or mentally ill. Children should not be raised like this.

(Abortion would have been a much more humane option for all involved. I am talking to you pro-lifers out there, who act like they don’t have any responsibility for families winding up in this circumstance)

Okay um, no comment on the abortion thing. I’m not mad at them for having children.

I have no idea where I’m from but they’re definitely professional-type panhandlers. They have a cooler and an umbrella and they smile and wave.

But the post who says they feel sorry for them wouldn’t fathom such a thing!

Abundant amount of of jobs that need filling out there.

I have stopped feeling guilty about the panhandlers. There are a SLEW of jobs going begging. People who want to work can.

Now killing people is going then a favor? There was a group that used that pitch about 75 or 80 years ago. Didn’t work out too well for them.

Maybe you would benefit from a tour of the museum on Raoul Wallenberg Place.

You made one mistake after another yet somehow this is “our” fault

They're scammers. Don't give them a penny OP.

Isn’t there some loitering law that can be enforced against them

Yeah, I don’t! I want to report them! Why do people think I am giving them money?

Did you leave yet to go pick them up?

Most of these people are not truly homeless and they choose to panhandle. The kids are used for sympathy. I've seen families doing this and at the end of the day they drive away in a very decent car. Seeing the kids is upsetting but not illegal. There was a story a while back about a group of panhandling women in New York City passing around the same baby to draw sympathy and cash all day long and the police stepped in only because the baby was outside for too many hours.

Not the exact same story but similar as above:

Do not give money to these types of people; donate to reputable charities instead.

I think know the family you’re talking about, but I’ve just generally seen a woman there with a ~8ish year old boy. He doesn’t go car to car though. Usually he sits there reading and eating a snack while she sells flowers at the stoplight for Costco on South Dakota.
