| I save a section of my perineal garden for zinnias every year. I usually buy them but last year had a heart attack at the prices. So I started them really late (5/1) but by late June, I had big enough plants to get in the ground. I like the cut and come again mixes. |

They’re not cut flowers, but since this is an older thread: if you like sunflowers in general, Arikara sunflowers smell amazing. Maybe all sunflowers do, but this was the first I grew that had some flowers lower on the stem so I could smell them in bloom. |
I always put my zinnia seeds straight in the ground. |
