| is there really that much of a difference btwn what SGF and these other ones ? |
| how many times do you have to go to CO or NYC ? |
If you do local monitoring, you would fly out a few days before the egg retrieval when your eggs are at a certain size. I'm considering this question now and would plan to be there for 4-7 days. |

OP here
re: person asking difference between SGF and these clinics, yes it does (hopefully) make a difference - SGF tends to be more cookie-cutter and usually stick with a standard set of protocols. DOR can be tricky to treat, so going with RE's and clinics that specialize in this can help (I am shifting from SGF to Cornell). I love SGF and conceived my daughter there with IUI, but now that I have DOR I need the DOR experts! I decided to go with Cornell, am still talking with CCRM later this month to cover my bases but Cornell makes sense. I can do local monitoring here (baseline, and then Day 7) and then after that I'll head up for monitoring in NYC. Dr. Davis said a lot of patients are from out of town. As for CCRM, sounds similiar - do local monitoring, then head out a few days before retrieval. |
For people with more problems, yes. The doctors do the monitoring, not a tech - that's one big difference. They make miniscule tweaks in protocol- they are overall more innovative. |

we met with our SGF RE after 2 failed cycles and she was like, oh well, i guess we will try the same thing again

First time poster here — moved to Alexandria VA from NYC in October.
I did two freeze cycles with Cornell in 2017 and am now on FET #2 (1st FET with PGS tested 5day, high grade blast failed) with them. I like Cornell, but honestly and just to set expectations, it IS a total cattle call. Very much experienced that “first time didn’t work, ok let’s do the same thing again” syndrome with them, for both my retrievals and FET’s, and don’t have nearly as much contact with my actual doc there as I’d like. That said, I have not seen Davis, though Reichman did perform my FET last Monday (TWW madness, ugh!). If it turns out we have to start over (at 42 yo) with a new cycle after this FET, I’m likely going to look into a new clinic. Currently researching both DC and NYC options. |
I agree and I saw Davis. To be fair, I was an extremely hard case. Cornell was not the panacea for me that was described on this board. |

anyone have experience w CCRM rockville , maryland ?
|
CCRM Rockville is just a satellite location for CCRM NoVA. |
|
just talked with Dr Davis for first time
in our case, he suggested doing fresh transfer of day 3 embryos , not freezing and testing them SGF never mentioned doing that strategy |
| Any thoughts on here about Dr. molinaro or RMA NJ? |
| Locally, Dr. Sharara - one man show but seems to be more aggressive and cutting edge when it comes to protocol variations. |
