Yes Dr. Liu retired long ago. I saw her when I started my IVF journey and struggling with Grave's disease/hyperthyroidism.

I was then transferred to Dr. Anurag Gupta, who was in the same practice as Dr. Liu (Endocrine and Diabetes Associates). She started managing me throughout my IVF journey and my first IVF pregnancy. I then had my thyroid removed so now Dr. Gupta is managing me with Synthroid as I am on my IVF journey to have a 2nd child. However, this practice will close at the end of March and Dr. Gupta will be opening up her own practice in Rockville.

Take synthroid. Start acupuncture.

Dr. West was terrific through both my pregnancies. He is very smart so he is a bit stillted in his demeanor. But he is kind and he will listen.

Does anyone know of any endocrinologists who will allow patients to stay on T3 medication (Cytomel) during pregnancy?

And does anyone have names of Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists who will allow this?

I take both T4 (Tirosint brand) and T3 (Cytomel) and the T3 has been an absolute game changer for me. I'm practically narcoleptic and and disabled without it. There's no way I could go through pregnancy on T4 medication alone.
