I liked the first couple seasons but it just got so dark towards the end, and not funny.

Have you seen Big Little Lies already?

What sort of things does your husband like to watch and what not?

There were definitely some rough patches -- as there are in life -- but I thought it ended on a hopeful note. You didn't?

I'd binge Offspring. But stick with it -- it did not love the pilot or the first season, really. I loved loved loved seasons 2-4.

AfterLife on Netflix. It's about a really serious subject (depression and suicidal ideation after losing a spouse to cancer), but at the same time it's very very funny.

Season 3 recently released - I've only watched season 1 so far but love it.

Tall Girl is similar.

I loved Never Have I Ever. If you haven't seen these, maybe Dead to Me, The Other Two (hysterical) or PEN15.

The last scene was just metaphorical in my opinion. Relationships are fraught, but we ignore all the danger signs and we get in anyway. The whole show is based on them defying the odds.

At this time of year I like to catch up on Oscar movies. Power of the dog, lost daughter, tick tick boom, being the Ricardo’s, etc. almost everything big is available streaming.
