Totally unnecessary.

I had the same thought - as the first poster. It does seem like a dumb post.

That’s a reflection on you not the OP. The business model and cost structure of a commercial kitchen-based business is very different from a restaurant.

The meals from South Mountain Creamery. Reasonable and homey. I think they do best with American food.

Also Open Hand Pasta but I thought the portions were smallish and Vignola.

What’s so dumb about it?

OP, you can order from Costco via Instacart and several of their prepared meals are pretty decent.

Pampas Fox delivers meals. https://www.pampasfoxcatering.com/ There are always specials every week and usual staples.

Look for someone who’s willing to either cook at their house and deliver or you pick up, or if you don’t mind someone coming to your house, to come 1 or twice a week and cook with your ingredients. It’s not easy to find, but it’s possible. You could look for someone fancy, or someone who basically prepares home made style food, nothing fancy.

honestly, most restaurant meals are too much for one person anyway, so if you got an entree from a place you like and it was something that saves/reheats well, then you can just do that. pick up a meal or two a couple times a week.

my mom eats like a bird so her chipotle will last her for several lunches.

if you WOH, then make lunch out be your big meal and do easy things for breakfast and dinner.

we have a place local that does lunch specials for 7 or 8 bucks. i could eat of of those for two meals.

make soup once a week.

it is really not that hard if you do a little planning.

Plus 1 -- these are good if you don't want to cook. And healthy.

Plus 1 as well - we get about 12-13 delivered per week for our lunches (2 people) and an occasional dinner. They are very tasty and healthy.

They are vegetarian-based but you can order them with a meat as well. Lots of salads, almost-stews. I would say the food ranges from perfectly fine to very good.

The meals come fully cooked, at most you need to microwave them a couple of minutes, and they will take back the containers and compost them as well.

I’ve been very happy with V+B. I alternate vegan and non-vegan meals by the week. I love that their containers are compostable and that they reuse the ice packs.
